March Current Events Survey

In March 2026, Galvanize Action surveyed ideologically-moderate women to see how they were feeling about current events.

QUESTION #1
Do you approve or disapprove of the way the Trump administration is handling information related to the government’s investigation into Jeffrey Epstein?

Do you approve or disapprove of the way the Trump administration is handling information related to the government’s investigation into Jeffrey Epstein? (Results in table below)
Strongly approve8%
Somewhat approve27%
Somewhat disapprove18%
Strongly disapprove41%
I have not heard of this situation until now6%

More ideologically-moderate white women are aware of the Epstein investigation now than when we first asked this question to a different sample of our audience in October 2025. Only six percent of respondents in this survey said they have not heard of the situation, down from 15% when we asked in the fall. While the majority (59%) still disapprove of how the Trump administration has been handling information related to the investigation, approval has increased from 21% in October to 35% in this survey.

QUESTION #2
To what extent do you approve or disapprove of the way President Trump is handling the situation with Iran?

To what extent do you approve or disapprove of the way President Trump is handling the situation with Iran? (Results in table below)
Strongly approve15%
Somewhat approve20%
Somewhat disapprove16%
Strongly disapprove42%
Don’t know/unsure6%

A majority (58%) of women in this audience say they disapprove of how President Trump is handling the current situation in Iran, with 42% saying they strongly disapprove. Only 6% of respondents indicated that they are unsure.

QUESTION #3
To what extent do you support or oppose the U.S. military action against Iran?

To what extent do you support or oppose the U.S. military action against Iran? (results in table below)
Strongly support15%
Somewhat support22%
Somewhat oppose19%
Strongly oppose31%
Don’t know/unsure13%

Half of the women surveyed say they oppose the US military action against Iran, with nearly a third (31%) saying they strongly oppose it. These responses reflect slightly higher levels of support and more uncertainty than the previous question, which asked specifically about President Trump’s handling of the situation. To see how our audience of ideologically-moderate women compares to a national sample of registered voters, see the results of this March 2026 Quinnipiac University Poll that asked these same two questions.

QUESTION #4
Lawmakers in Congress are considering a proposal regarding the funding of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and various agencies under it.

Some lawmakers are proposing: Transportation Security Administration (TSA), Coast Guard, and Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) should remain fully funded. Meanwhile, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) should not receive funding as it currently stands.

To what extent do you support or oppose this proposal?

To what extent do you support or oppose this proposal? (results in table below)
Strongly support24%
Somewhat support25%
Somewhat oppose19%
Strongly oppose16%
Don’t know/unsure16%

Just under half (49%) of respondents say they support the proposal and a notable percentage (16%) say they aren’t sure. These results indicate that many ideologically-moderate white women may not feel strongly or may not feel confident enough in their knowledge of the situation to have an opinion. To see how our audience compares to a national sample, see the results of this February 2026 Data for Progress survey.

QUESTION #5
Thinking about the upcoming midterm elections in November, how confident are you that votes nationwide will be counted as voters intend?

Thinking about the upcoming midterm elections in November, how confident are you that votes nationwide will be counted as voters intend? (Results in table below)
Very confident20%
Somewhat confident35%
Not too confident26%
Not at all confident9%
Don’t know/unsure10%

Slightly more than half (55%) of women in this audience say they are confident that votes in the midterm elections will be counted accurately, though a plurality say they are just somewhat confident. Just over a quarter (26%) say they are not too confident and a further 9% say they are not at all confident. Additionally, 10% say they aren’t sure. Confidence in how midterm votes will be counted seems to be relatively split, indicating a lack of trust. To see how our audience compares to other groups, see the results of this January 2026 University of California San Diego survey.

The vast majority (78%) of women surveyed say they strongly or somewhat support requiring all voters to show government-issued photo ID to vote.
