About

Mission & Vision

Together, we can create a country where we all thrive.

Mission

Galvanize Action connects with moderate women to build a broader base for progress and an America that works for everyone.

Vision

We envision an America where all people can thrive. How are we going to get there? With a broad, multiracial coalition to protect against the polarization that is threatening our democracy and move us forward to positive, lasting change.

There are millions of women—most living in rural, small town, and suburban communities—who want progress on things like access to healthcare and climate, but whose civic impact does not always reflect those goals. We use research-backed approaches to support this group of women to vote in line with their values and play an active role in promoting social welfare in their communities.

White women are the single largest voting bloc in this country and will be for years to come. The math is clear. Progress requires a two-pronged approach: support the critical organizing work being led by communities of color to address voter suppression and turnout AND persuade more white women to play a role in building a thriving, multiracial democracy. We focus on connecting with moderate women—women who are not ideologically entrenched—because they are open to new ideas and perspectives and movable on issues such as reproductive freedom, healthcare, gender equity, climate, and the economy. Together, this broad coalition can create a better future for all of our children.

“I’m grateful that Galvanize is doing this work.
We can win when we go together.”

Jessica Byrd, former Chief Strategist to Stacey Abrams

“When you or your family member is struggling, there is a lot of pain and the easiest thing to do is direct that into anger at somebody. We can create a different narrative together. When I see what Galvanize is doing, it makes me hopeful that progress is possible.”
