We believe in collaboration to build the power of the field and expand our collective impact.

In every state we work, we team up with partners on the ground who are in relationships with their community. These have included state tables, Progress Now affiliates, Planned Parenthood affiliates, and more. We share our research, messaging, and even what we’ve learned from strategies that didn’t work, so that we can leap forward and win together. Check out our Tools for the Field and connect with us to learn more about our work. We will gladly share our resources with you!

Strategic Partnerships

Mindbridge logo

Mindbridge Center – a nonprofit organization dedicated to transforming the impact of local, national, and international human rights work by integrating psychological and neurobiological applied science.

Mindbridge has taught us that 40-90% of everything we do is unconscious. At the heart of our strategy is a scientific understanding that much of our political behavior—how we respond to political ads, which candidates and policies we support—is driven not by conscious decision-making, but by deeply held values and subconscious neurobiology. This partnership allows us to apply the fundamentals of neuroscience and behavioral psychology to create values-based messaging and organizing strategies that are built on the art and science of persuasion. Learn more about the impact of our work with Mindbridge Center with these neuroscience hacks you can use.

Grow Progress logo

Grow Progress – software products and services that provide the power to persuade more effectively by enabling customers to predict their audience’s personality traits so that they can get the right message to the right people. Voters who look the same don’t all think the same. Our work with Grow Progress involves data modeling to categorize people based not just on demographics, but on their values, personality traits, and beliefs. These categories, or profiles, allow us to identify which voters it makes the most sense for us to focus our time, energy, and resources on. Going beyond demographics to more deeply understand our audience and what impacts their voting behavior also helps us develop effective strategies.

Navy blue and white split screen slide with text on the left side "How it works. Persuasion science + predictive analytics = identity segments." Text on the right side is in 4 squares with a plus sign in the middle. Top left square: "Digital footprints. We take consumer data like mobile apps, social media, and purchases." Top right square: "Persuasion science. Run surveys based on decades of research from Stanford and Columbia." Bottom left square: "Voter database. Combine that with the voter file to make it actionable for campaigns." Bottom right square: "Machine learning. And then train algorithms to create models."

The New Conversation Initiative logo

The New Conversation Initiative – helps teams and movements leverage the power of deep canvassing to create lasting progressive change. We know that in order to create an America that works for everyone, we need to engage with voters year round to truly get to know what matters to them. Deep canvassing is an investment in conversations that open hearts and minds. Our collaboration with The New Conservation Initiative has taught us how to effectively incorporate deep canvassing as a key pillar of our work. Research has found it to be one of the most effective and durable forms of political persuasion because it engages the voter to persuade themselves.
