Laurie (she/her/hers) brings nearly four decades of activism, community organizing, providing direct services to victims of gender-based violence, and facilitating training and technical assistance to local victim service providers. Laurie views politics as a way to create a country where everyone can thrive and spends much of her free time volunteering for progressive local, state, and national candidates. For nearly three decades, before joining the Galvanize USA and Galvanize Action, Laurie served as the Executive Director for the Iowa Coalition Against Domestic Violence. Laurie resides in Iowa where she grew up, raised her family, and now loves spending time with her grandkids.
